Parenting is demanding and MOTHERHOOD is an entirely new role

and new way of relating to others and...YOURSELF!

You are EXHAUSTED, and not just physically but emotionally and mentally.

 

You feel GUILTY for being EXHAUSTED, which leads to more EXHAUSTION.

You might be experiencing Mom Burnout and you are in the throws of Matrescence

Coined by anthropologist Dana Raphael in the 70s.

She describes the physical, emotional, and psychological changes women

go through when becoming a mother is similar, if not identity, to adolescence

Matresence is a total shift in your body and brain.

It causes a whole lot of confusion.

IDK about you but I haven't felt this turned upside-down since I was a teenager.

Mom Burnout is more than being physically tired.

It's mentally fatigued and drained.

It's when the constant demands of motherhood start to weigh so heavily on you

that you become drained. 

It's starting the day with an empty tank.

This leads to more resentment, possible depression, numbness, and disconnect from your mind, body, and spirit. 

 

You've been through huge life change. It's so normal to feel insecure, confused, sad, and in love with your child all at the same time.

What has it gotten us? Mothers are DEPLETED and EXHAUSTED and feel NUMB and ANGRY but STUFF IT DOWN.

It starts with RECOGNIZING how stress, trauma, depression, burnout, and pain sit in your body.

I will guide you to listen to your body and learn what it has to say.

 

I will help you learn to listen to your body and give your body the compassionate and healing space it needs to discharge the physical and emotional pain and stress that is trapped.

​

We will ALSO give space and time for joy, excitement, and desires.

 

While we want to discharge the trapped pain we also want to introduce the FEELING of JOY, FULFILLMENT, ADVENTURE, and POWER! 

 

Taking the time to connect with your peace, life force, and true self has a profound impact on your overall well-being.

Remember the research mentioned above? Taking care of yourself, and I don't mean bubble baths and brunches, directly impacts the health and well-being of your children.

 

A JOYFUL mom who is WELL and FULFILLED as more capacity to raise and parent intentionally, consciously, and authentically, raises children who are authentic humans.

​Fee for service is $150 per 50-minute session via HIPAA-compliant video software 

 

I also offer 75-minute sessions ($225) and 90-minute sessions ($270) for those who want to dive deeper into sessions.

​

I am not paneled through insurance so I am considered private pay and out-of-network. I can provide you with a monthly Superbill on request, which you may submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Check your "out-of-network benefits if you wish to submit for reimbursement. 

​

Available to Missouri Residents. Please note, due to the nature of virtual therapy I cannot accept clients who are actively suicidal, self-harming, need coping skills-based therapy, and/or experiencing psychosis.
